It's been over one week since my birthday and my husband of 4 years has not bought me anything. He said he will in his card, but has not and has not even spoke about it. I am very hurt and do not know if I should just forget it or bring up to him? I really don't feel I should bring it up to him, he should know on his own, he is a grown man.

I think you should give it a few days just wait until after the weekend and if he hasnt done anything then bring it up to him. Sometimes people surprise you when you least expect it and if you were to ruin that it would be a mess. Sometimes men just need a little reminder on the other hand its all in the way he views things. My spouse doesnt take holidays and birthdays as a big deal but I am completly opposite they are a huge deal to me. So when he doesnt remember it isnt a big to me and I have no problem reminding it would be so nice if I were to be surprised just one time but I dont expect it anymore.

Men are generally self centered and forgetful. Has he done anything at all for your birthday? Did you go to dinner or a movie or anything special at all? Because that could be considered a gift sometimes. At least you got a card, which means he acknowledged it.
(The purpose of your birthday isn't to be showered with expensive gifts, but to celebrate the day of your birth.)
Perhaps when his birthday comes around you could give him the same treatment...see how he likes it.

Hey at least he didn't forget your b-day, he got you a card. If I didn't tell my husband exactly what I want I would get nothing except a card.

I wouldn't freak out at this point, I know when I give surprises I don not give ANY idea what or WHEN I am doing it.... Hold out for awhile... Maybe he got you something that he had to order and it is arriving late, there's endless possibilites!
When it does come or he gives it to you I hope all this worrying will leave your mind and ease all your fears!

He may be waiting for a mega big surprise. Let it go for another week or so, then casually bring it up. Good luck, and I hope it's worth waiting for! (If not, you can always get back at him on his birthday!)

he's probably gonna surprise you with something be patient. If one more weem pases by it means that the mail man missed you house long time ago or he totally forgot and is working on getting you soemthing but can't find waht you like.

Show him the card & ask where's the gift?
Maybe he has a surprise, maybe he just couldn't figure out what to buy.
If he's a good guy, I wouldn't be too bothered buy it. Just ask.
