i just started setting up my new pc and after 9 hours of it running fine it suddenly powered off then turned back onthen off again it continued untill i powered it off. i waited for a min or 2 then turned it back on and it ran fine for 30 mins and did the exact same thing. i know the CPUtemp is abotu 104-109 F so thats fine and the case was like 90F so im thinking the power supply over heated. any ideas let me know

its a gigabyte ktu-939 MB
athon64 3200+
512 megs of ram
sound blaster audigy
600watt no name power supply (which is what i belive is causeing the issue)

The computer isnt new the MB, CPU, And Power Supply are. Im putting my money on the power supply

Usually an unexpected reboot like that is a temperature issue. Try running with the case open and see if that helps. Also if you suspect the power supply, I would swap in a different one for a test.

Have you checked the Startup and Recovery settings? (Right click on My Computer > Properties > Advanced > Startup and Recovery > Settings. More sure that "Automatically Restart" is not checked. That can cause even a minor driver error to reboot the PC. Unchecking that will not prevent the error, but if might cause the PC to display the error so you can troubleshoot it rather than just reboot.

Could be the power supply. but if the pc is new, take it back. there is warranty

Only reason is power supply , replace power suply. and enjoy

I think all computers act weird so I could not tell the difference between what is good or bad.
