Is she on a leave or did she quit Law and Order SVU? I know she had a baby and her father just died. so maybe she's just on a leave of absence. I hope so because I will quit watching the show if she quit.

We are all in luck- She is just on a break.
With some friends in the biz (makeup artist, accountants and camera guys) I have heard some details [here say for now]
I heard Mariska is out all season, and it will bring the story line with Marsha Gay Hardin with some cameos the last few episodes with this years finale the "start point" to bring it back into full throttle for the first of next years-season. Her look is much different as well, not so glam more earthy.
We L&O fan's will be waiting for sure. This new girl is a bit "TOO Damaged" for my likes. The Jerry Lewis episode was really good...that was a great storyline. Ironic that both men "Lewis and Booser" are professional comedians ouside that show.
Please send her lots of happy thoughts. That entire family is recovering from a loss and savoring those precious moments of a new child-what a mixed blessing huh?! It wouldn't surprise me if she has another child pretty quickly. Its addicting when they are that little and adorable. oh boy- but later!

I'm addicted to SVU! I love Olivia (Mariska Hartigay). The new chick is okay too. But, can't wait until Olivia is back.
