if you had a younger sibling and stuff was going around about them that you knew wasn't true... what would you think???

If i know it wasn't true than i wouldn't bother with it
but if it hurts my younger sibling than i would let them know that i don't believe it. And tell all my friends that its not true. Soon the truth will go out, and maybe faster than you think.

Okay I'm in the equivalent of high school in Ireland and I know about it all! Around teh school there's been several rumours about me and my friends. You think you're being singles outbut your not, it happens to every person in there schooling life at some point or another. Let it take it's due course, take no heed and get on with your life. Some rumours can be worse than others but just let it slide over your head and you'll be grand. The one thing not to do is show it's upsetting you because people are going to get enjoyment out of seeing you upset and spread more and more getting worse and worse!!

i dont really know what you were talking about in the more info spot but when i was in highschool in 97-2000 the gossip stop when it got to me i always ignored it i just told whoever was telling me huh yeah really ok and that is has far as it went i never told ne one else about it. You can not really stop gossip from spreading but you can stop it from spreading from your mouth so best thing to do is if you know someone and they are part of the gossip or telling the gossip tell them to stop spreading lies and if the person. If it is your friend that is in the gossip maybe tell them about it so they can set the gossip striaght and make sure ppl know that it is not true.

I never really liked gossips, whether in high school or elsewhere. So, I would think its a waste of time to actually perpetuate a rumor and spread it.

Any gossip is hateful. It really is disturbing for people to be talking behind your back especially if what they are saying isn't true.

i hate that. Last year my ex started thinks rumor about how i had aids and other disease. That was after we broke up.

its a horrible thing... but there is really nothing you can do about it... jsut stand up for what u know is right. and tell people your view on it... they might change their mind.
