It depends if you want the units to sit on top of your tiles or not...

Some interesting theories. If you want what the experts have in their homes then this is it. Tile BEFORE anything else is even thought out.
By doing so there are no problems in fitting whatever YOU want in whatever PLACE you want.
I have seen a rearrangement two years after a kitchen had been fitted, the owner regretted not having the floor done FIRST

Most people put down the tiles last. You save money by not tiling under something that's just going to cover them up and you don't have to worry as much about a little unevenness causing you any problems with the installation of other things. You also don't have to worry about messing up the tiles while you do the rest of the work.

After the demolition and removal of the cabinets, etc. and then put the floor down so that when you put the items back into the kitchen, you won't have to move appliances etc. to put the tiles down. Be very careful if they are ceramic tiles, when moving heavy objects around. Cover the floors with a heavy tarp when you are working on installing the new kitchen. Make sure you have extra, just in case one would crack.

at the end of the project, no worries of mess from working in the kitchen, ignore the comment of having to sit your units on it, they will have legs that are covered with plinth unless ur having exposed legs so fit around and under to then cover with plinth, if u are having decor legs then u may have to release these and tile under as each unit is made, grout afterwards though if u can, depends how awkward this will be.

Here, think of it like this..... When you do renovations, work from top to bottom. Dont try to fit the floor tiles until everything else above is done. But once you've done the flooring, then you do the finishing work with baseboard, quarter round, etc....

i put mine down first from wall to wall with no gaps its a lot cleaner if u have a dog or kids when some thing is spilt at least it can get cleaned easily if u put the floor down last its harder to clean as u can't tile right up to the walls as the units are there
