They are in control of all branches of government, I don't understand what they are fighting against? And why they can't get anything done? And yes, I would ask this question of dems, if they were in control of everything...but they aren't so let's try and stick to the question please...

We are in a a period of unprecedented divisiveness right now. Much of it has been encouraged by the administration. Many citizens have bought in to this nonsense and now we have a country truely divided. When we are divided we do a pretty good job of standing still. A good example is the US congress (both houses) which has really done very little in the past couple of years.

Both parties seem to be more concerned with fighting each other than with getting this country moving again.

You are going to receive some pretty sarcastic or hateful responses to your question, probably from both sides. They will think they are being clever no doubt. What they will really be doing is showing yet another example of how many of us do not contemplate the situation but instead blindly follow the meaningless political rhetoric we hear.

that is basically some "previous college" republicans who genuinely are putting directly to the previous procedures. The GOP has few supporters because of Bush administration failure. they won't settle for the reality that the guy they elected, Bush, is the main hated guy interior the worldwide. a number of republicans genuinely voted democratic for the 1st time. we are on the factor the place the U. S. is is disaster mode, so it quite is not any longer approximately repubs and Dem's yet approximately individuals. If we don't pull mutually as a us of a we can all fail inspite of our political occasion. The Dem's now carry 60 % of the domicile. the human beings have spoken and maximum folk regulations. We in simple terms ought to have some faith our leaders wil do the excellent ingredient for a transformation.

I don't think hatred has anything to do with it. I as a conservative do not hate any democrat but I vehemently disagree with their policies and ideas or lack there of. The biggest point of contention that I have is they have opposed everything the President Bush has put forth like SS reform, no child left behind, the war on terrorism, and anything else that he proposes. If they would come up with some ideas that could be discussed I wouldn't have a problem with that. They have just stated that they could do it better they could do it smarter. OK show us what your plan is. Specifics. How about we join together like both parties did during WWII and fight this enemy united instead of divided?

HONESTLY, I think it stems from the religious teaching that the party started identifying with back in the 80's. With religion you are taught to just accept Jesus and not question anything about him or his teachings. THAT has spilled over into the republican / conservative way of thinking. It is much easier to just "accept" what you are being told and not question it just as you were taught to do in church. IF you do ever question it OR is someone forces you into a situation where you have to question it OR reevaluate your position on a particular issue the easy thing to do is HATE the person that is making you do it. Sorta like work, if you are MADE to work, you hate the person making you do it. PLUS as long as you are feeling hate toward the person asking you to evaluate your position on something, you are totally at liberty to justify the fact THEY are wrong and you are right.

Because the democrats reprisent what the Republicans are not. Namely, democratic. Come on, why do you think buses supplying free transportation to poorer voters "mysteriously" did not show up at the pols? It obviously has NOTHING to do with the fact that most people without happy income vote dem...Land of the free, sure.

As you see above (mostly), it's because many Democrats think their ideology is superior and more intellectual to that of the Republicans. That in turn ticks the Republicans off, makes them defensive and overwrought. It ends here:

D: You Redneck Warmonger
R: You Valueless Terrorist Sympathizer

And then we all drink the kool aid.

Because they have done nothing while having total control of the government for the past few years, the Republicans only have one option--blame it on the Democrats. Why didn't they pass the partial birth abortion ban? They have the numbers, but they won't be able to run on that issue any more if it is passed. Why haven't they made the changes in the estate tax laws permenant? Because they will need to run off of this in the future. These types of things keep the neocon news media occupied so that people won't ask why the Republicans spending is out of control or why they haven't cut the size of the government when they say it is too big.

Blame takes the focus away from them.

Vote for change in November.

Under the Gospel of the New Red Jesus, Love thy neighbor was changed to Hate thy neighbor.

So now the NeoCons hate everything and everyone. For Jesus!

we the republican people fear the democratic people taking over because they are some what immoral

they support gay marriage
they support abortion
they support many god offle things

not to mention that the biggest fear i have is

that democrats to me seem lazy when they get into office a bunch of promises that arent kept.

It seems to me from experience that republicans want to take a step forward and although they sometimes take a step back such as mr bush they at least make an effort

Democrats dont they just let the years go by and do really nothing of the sort they kinda just sit back

Democrats also want to raise taxes everytime there in office

why is that?
