Rancho Santa Fe has always been the most expensive place to live in San Diego County. There's houses up there that have names! No street address, just names! La Jolla is very nice as well, but there are 20 million dollar homes in Rancho. Every year they do a report on the news about the most expensive areas in the U.S. Rancho Santa Fe beats out Beverly Hills every year. Now that's expensive!

i know la jolla has plenty of rich people. i also know that a lot of athletes, especially chargers players live in poway. i guess cause of the proximity to qualcomm right down the 15. that doesnt hurt the average salary of the town.
