That far back in the engine it has to be either the intake gasket or the rear freeze plug. Neither one is easy to get to. It will of course continue to get worse. Either fix it, or look up the number of your local tow truck for when it fails completely.

Just because it's running behind the flywheel doesn't necessarily mean the leak's near there. Here's what I'd check, in order of likelihood:
1) water pump,seals, gaskets
2) all heater/water hoses
3) Thermostat housing gasket
4) inspect for leaky head gaskets
5) check block for leaking plugs (freeze plug, etc)
6) check block and heads for damage/cracks

Hope this helped.

I am thinking you believe the flywheel is on the front of the engine.

As already said, the water pumps on Chebbies are just behind the fan. They have weep holes on them, and when they go bad, they leak. Just get under the truck and look at the bottom of the pump. The fan is attached to it.

water pump is run off the belt that turns your fan, the housing is actually the base for your fan, so your water pump is probably bad.
