Nightmare on Elmstreet (The early ones more so that the later stuff)
Friday the 13th (Just for the T&A I remember growing up and the 1980s trends). They are some of the most stupid movies, though.
Dracula, Frankenstein, Wolfman, etc. - all the OG ones
Poltergeist
Re-Animator
Pet Semetary
PSYCHO
The one where the lady rents an apartment in NY, which happens to be a portal between the underworld. Can anyone remember the name?
Witchboard

Essentially, any 80's horror flick will have me glued to the TV no matter how stupid it is for the nostalgia effect. Nothing like seeing girls in big hair get their heads chopped off and the hair remains perfect from the hairspray.

I don't plan it that way, but I always seem to end up watching "Pumkinhead" on Halloween.

Last year though I was watching Psycho while doling out candy to trick or treaters. No big deal...it's just a movie, right?

EXCEPT I was watching a part where he was very clearly menacing a woman -- the creepy music was building to a crescendo and everything -- then the doorbell rang and I got up and looked toward the front screen door and damned if Michael Myers wasn't standing right there.

I screamed bloody murder! The the kid screamed! Then he ran off without his candy.

So this year I won't be watching Psycho. The kids deserve better. :-)

I love to find horror movies that I have never seen.. so I check online to find out who's talking about what.
This year.. I'm renting: 3 Extremes and the Henry series...

but..if you want to stick with something mainstream.. and be truly scared.. this is an oldie but goodie .. watch EVIL DEAD.. the first one.. it's a classic..and it still chills me to the bone. If you're looking for a bloody gore fest..that borders on funny because it's soooo over the top.. get DEAD ALIVE ..

Dragon thought Freddy vs. Jason was hilarious. As was Nightmare on Elm Street. Jeepers Creepers was okay the second time Dragon saw it (she couldn't watch the whole thing the first time around).

But Dragon's favorite type of horror movies are movies about zombies. Shaun of the Dead. Hill-air-ee-us.

Almost every single one made.
I LOVE horror movies. It's almost the only genre of movies I watch.
I was watching the Scream Awards a few days ago just to see what new movies would be coming out to go see.

Nightmare on Elm Street, and all the Halloween movies.
I'm old-fashioned, I guess! I'd rather watch these than all these new movies that are supposedly "scary".
