IF SO why IF NOT what do you know you need to do for happniess

has society put a damper on being naturally happy with ourselves?

my take on happniess is that you have to always be happy with what you got cause if not you will never find what you are looking for

what do you want to accomplish befor you die??

YES! FINALLY!!! I am truly happy because i found Jesus - i know many people say that but its different. I found a joy and happyness that is constant. regardless of the problem or obstacle i have a calm peace and assurance that i will overcome...and guess what? I always do! Why because God is with me.

Since i found Him i've been putting my life back together...its like what took me more than 10 years to fix has all changed in a space of 1!

Before i die i want to make sure to let as much people as possible know that they don't have to suffer and that through Jesus all things are possible regardless of their situation - i'm a living testimony! : )

Yes, I'm generally happy with my life so far! I like myself (couldn't always say that) & my life (creativity, love, a wonderful man in my life). I'm proud of my accomplishments (my education, awards, travel, experiences, buying my first home.)

I think you're right that society does try to make us feel unhappy with ourselves. In a consumer society, if we feel like something's missing, have a sense of lack, never feel we have enough then we will consume more (well if I had a bigger house, a fancier car, if I lived in a better neighbourhood, had designer clothes blah blah blah then maybe I'd be happier). This may be good for the economy but bad for our souls! Happiness doesn't come from material things. You are also right that the key to happiness is to be grateful for what you have, not what you lack. We can choose to be happy now, instead of waiting to get things we may never get.

Before I die, I would like to retire from working at a job that I hate (ok so I'm not completely happy but work is a necessary evil! It pays the mortgage!) & do what I love full time -- paint more, show in galleries, sell more paintings, write more songs, make another CD (maybe get a record deal), write & publish a novel.

i think you should just make the best out of your situations! There are tons of people out there in a worse place than you could ever imagine right now. Even though im not rich or living large I am living and enjoying my little life. Ive graduated college and about to go back to grad school so i cant take anything for granted. i got a lil job thats not making big money but i do enjoy the life im living. if you look at the way i live from my clothing to my how i act you would never imagine i only make 25000 a year but ive been blessed with a good mother who i can still count on if i need something.

Many times in life, ignorance is bliss. I have found that the more knowledge one attains, the more susceptible to unhappiness one becomes.

I was very happy as a kid, until I found out about nuclear weapons. I thought people were innately good, unless I studied human behavior.

For me, I'm satisfied. I have a beautiful wife, two lovely kids, and a home and have been blessed by the Lord above given my background.

But happiness? That's a whole another issue.

I think that what makes us happy today may not be what makes us happy tomorrow so happiness is an illusive shadow that we are always catching out of the corner of our eye. Ask me again tomorrow but as for today yes i am happy! HA-HA I want to successfully own my own art gallery and teach art to under privileged people of all ages

So far I'm contented with my life, but I don't know if I'm truely happy. Maybe when I reach my goals in life and purpose I can be happy.

YES,I am perfectly happy, because I have GODS unconditional love within, this brings peace that is beyond our anility to express. One can experience "IT" within your own heart. I would lose my sense of self seperate from GOD,experiencing the "IT IS APPOINTED ONCE FOR MAN TO DIE". then one could say "PHYSICAL DEATH ,WHERE IS THY STING". YES one must ACCKNOWLEDGE this is where I am,then seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened unto you.
