March is a great time, but someone mentioned you are avoiding spring break so it will be cheaper. Well for the most part you are, however there are some schools that do have spring break the last week of Feb and the first 2 weeks of March.
Not as many as middle of March to middle of April of course. Basically from Jan on the further into the months you go the more expensive it is.

Early March is a great time to visit Disney World! The crowds will be practically non-existant. However, still avoid weekends because that is when the locals bring the kids to play.
The weather will be just starting to warm up, but it should still be comfortable. Bring a light sweater just in case.

im from tampa, i go to disney every few years. march is the perfect time to go as long as its not during spring break. march is the beginning of the rainy season here, but it doesnt rain every day in march like it does in july and august. the crowds will be minimal and the accommodations wont be outrageous. traffic is always terrible along the I-4 corridor, so youll just have to put up with it.
if you want to save some cash, stay in a hotel on busch blvd in tampa and drive I-4 to disney in the mornings. its a 45 minute drive, but you will save major bucks on the room.
have fun!

It is a great time -- especially if you get out ahead of the spring breakers.
I was there last march and the weather is great. Crowds start happening around spring break -- but Orlando has so much capacity to handle large crowds with an unbelievable number of hotel rooms that you never feel cramped or too busy even in the most crowded times.
good luck.
I'm envious.

We got married two years ago this coming March and it's was a great time to go to Orlando.
The weather is good, although it's not as hot as October which is quite warm or June which is too scorching hot.
It's warm weather for us Brits. About the same as Spain in May - moderately hot.
It's not too busy for rides either as June is a nightmare.
If you have a chance go down to the south of Florida as it hot. We went to Miami and the Keys and it was fantastic.

I was there in early March this year and it wasn't so bad. It was beginning to pick up. Earlier in my trip was great because the waits weren't long and the parks were easy to get around. But by the end of it, traffic was starting to get heavier.
Have fun!

I dont live in FL but I do live in CA and to go to Disneyland in early March is very ideal. They are not as busy say in June through December. So yes to your question.

It's spring break for colleges and private schools. It's considered peak season but not total gridlock like Christmas break.
