The detroit tigers are just two wins from the world seires! i do not beleive its true! my god they beat the mighty yankees now they are just two wins away from dreamland.
who else here is shocked?

I am probably more shocked than you are.
In April I knew that would be improved (80-82 wins), but if you had told me then that The Tigers would be just 2 wins away from a WORLD Series, I would have laughed at you.
As per my previous questions and answers, I've followed them closely all season (and before).
But watching them all season (on FSN Detroit), and seeing them play, I had begun to believe.
I never thought they would beat the yankees! And to be up 2-0 over Oakland is even more shocking!

Not me. I don't think the A's would win because their heart is not in it after what happened to Cory Lidle. Just like the 1989 World Series , the S.F. Giants vs. The Oakland A's. Mostly everyone who bets, bet the Giants would finally win the World Series, but after the earthquake happened, their hearts wasn't in it to win. The players was thinking about an earthquake that almost destroyed their city, so I think the same thing will happen to the a's.

I knew early on that they had good pitching and an overall good team and manager so I'm not too shocked even though I thought the Yankees would beat them.
