you need to partition and format the drive.

right click on my computer and choose manage -> storage -> disc management

look for the unpartitioned drive and partition it and format it. set the format to ntfs. this will take a while to complete. once finished your drive will be ready.

Whatever you do make sure you choose the unpartitioned drive as formatting your c drive will delete your operating system and any programs and files stored on your disc.

Probably ur Jumper Pin setting is wrong.
better ur remove all Jumper Pin which will make it Primary Slave.
check the IDE cable if ur HDD is IDE and if SATA the check bus cable.in ROM BIOS jus puch F3 to auto Detect all HDD.
I think this much will resolve ur problem.
if not then PM me.

bypass to the administration Panel and under Administrative procedures p.c. pc administration. under storage in the left panel, p.c. Disk administration. on the properly suited, you will see your drives. If there's no force letter assigned, precise click it and choose replace force Letter and Paths. Set it and that's going to now be obtainable.

You need to go to the Disk manager to format it and assign a driver letter to it.
