I am 31, back then I used to get a dollar and was pretty happy. My kids get a few dollars. I felt like a fool when my niece was bragging to my boys about how the tooth fairy gave her $20.00 and they came asking me why the tooth fairy doesn't give them that much.

I'd get a cool coin...i have a collection of them now.... coins from Saudi Arabia that my dad got while he was in the Navy....gold pieces, so really i didn't get a set amount, or anything i could spend, but i got something even better, a coin collection!
i had to have my wisdom teeth removed and i got a package in the mail with some really rare old coins from my dad...i wasn't expecting it at all

I always got a dollar. I sure wish I was still a sound sleeper like I was when I was a kid. There's no way I wouldn't wake up now if someone tryed to put something under my pillow. lol

I got $1. My sister's kids get $20 now! That seems crazy to me. My kids haven't lost any teeth yet, but I really doubt they'll get that much.
