Most degrees do not lead into a strictly relevant career, so don't worry about it.

Skies are the limit. As long as you enjoy working with people you can't go wrong. There will be people around for a long time so the need for people trained in social sciences like Psychology will always be in demand. This might be a time to for you to stop and think about what you like to do and how you can do that as a career that supports your lifestyle. Do some daydreaming. Do you see yourself working for a company, government, or running your own business? There are various computer programs and tests that you can take that emphasize personality. I believe MMI..is one of them (called the Minnesota Multiphasic Inventory) it is basically a series of questions that helps you to determine what your character strengths and weakness are. With this in mind you can also take a Choices Inventory. This will ask you what your interests are, level of education etc. and then the computer "spits" out a number of possibilities of careers that would be suited to an individual that fits your profile. Good luck and have fun. I hope this helps some.

It's pretty general so many things.
Getting a 2:1 or higher will out you at an advantage as you can get into graduate training schemes for businesses, if that's what you want.
Otherwise social work, teaching, civil service, government departments, not for profit organisations would all be career choices for you.
It is good to start thinking now so you don't panic when uni has finished. Try the uni careers advice centre or Connections for advice.

It will lead you into whatever career you want it to, as long as you put the effort in to reach your goals.
There's no specific career path set out, you could teach, research, do a conversion course to medicine or law, join the civil service, go into HR management, become an accountant, get married and raise a family...whatever you like.

Doing such a degree will help you to increase your intelligence vastly in terms of how society works and what is needed to follow particular paths.
This is the most important thing to understand if wanna be truly happy, so be pleased that you're going this way.

Why should it lead you anywhere? Having gained in knowledge it may nudge you one way or another, but it's up to you to decide what to do with your life.
