She is owed over $12,000 in arrears. I know where he works, but its for cash. I know where he lives, but his girlfriend rents the place under her name. He hasn't seen my daughter in over a year but lives and works 10 min. away. His license has already been taken and I don't think he will ever file a tax return. What can I do to keep my case going?

Men like him give men like me bad names. I see my 2 children every weekend. I may behind in payments but I love my children. You should press the issue with the courts and get after him. They will send him to jail if he can't come up with a $1,000 at court.

If you know where he lives and know where he works, my recommendation is to get a copy of the book "How to collect when you win a judgement" (previous title was "How to collect when you win a lawsuit"). The publisher is Nolo Press, but I confirmed today that the books are out of print. I used it successfully in the late 1980's to collect a debt with much the same story, all without a lawyer. It was a lot of work, but worth it. Basically it involves doing what's called a "till tap" where you go to the place of business, his bank, or even to his home and sieze either cash or property to help resolve the debt - with a Sherrif and a court order to back you up.

You can probably find the book in a library or on amazon.com or similar book reseller.

Write a letter to the IRS. You don't have to sign your name and you can go on the web site to get a print out. They might look into it and if they catch him, any money will be given to your daughter first.
To get him put in jail, you have to get a lawyer and take him to court. The child-support for your state will only take his drivers liscence away and try to take money from his job but if he collects cash under the table, she won't get anything.
Do this soon, because after a certain amount of time, the case could be dropped.

Child Support is a COURT ORDER if he is not paying his part talk to your attorney generals office and they can issue a warrant for his arrest! But be careful because a daddy in jail will definately not have a relationship with his child! And as a mother you should want more for your child!

Maybe you should talk to your babys daddy and agree to let him be part of your childs life....regardless of money! Once he feels like a father then he may want to help his child more!

Sounds like someone picked a real winner! Go to court and work through the legal system. Or terminate his parental rights (legally) and forget the bum.

Shouldn't you be more concerned that your child has no relationship with her father then money? If your working to support her then that should be your biggest concern that she is being taken care of by you not some sperm donor

See a lawyer and tell him or her everything you just told us. They will do what they can to help you. Or just tell you not to bother because it's not worth it.
