Basically over 600,000 immigrants have migrated to the UK recently. What are some of the predictions on the long-term effects (economical, culteral...) if the UK continues to allow these immigrants in without making restrictions? what about if some restrictions are made?

thankyou.

Well eventually the country will not be such an ideal option because of overcrowding. Previous freebies such as housing and healthcare will no longer be available, the working population will not be paying enough in taxes to fund them. At this point it will lose a lot of its attraction.
To be fair though, the interesting thing to know would be how many people are emigrating? If the population is fairly static then it's not such an issue, it's only if it's a marked difference then we need to worry.
It is time to place restrictions, and start enforcing deportation at the end of stay agreed on visas etc, as well as returning failed asylum applicants to their home country because quite simply it is not fair for them to stay on.

Culturally the UK is a very cosmopolitan country and is quite capable of accepting different views without a problem, I love that I have restaurants offering foods from around the world where I live, and there is a lot of good that comes from ethnic diversity.

Economically though this country simply cannot support an ongoing influx of migrants claiming state benefits, tragic though their circumstances may have been. Lets just remember that we are part of europe and it is not our job to house every migrant who passes through europe to get to us, France is notorious for almost waving them across the channel to us and they should be taking a hell of a lot more than they do.

Restrictions are already being put in place for the entry of Bulgaria and Roumania into the EU next year. They will be allowed to visit for a period of 3 months but wont be allowed to work. This restriction will be in place for at least 6 or 7 years to ensure that their economies are stabilised and relatively on par with the rest of the EU.
While the UK does require a tax paying migrant workforce to ensure continuing economic prosperity it is recognised that a sudden influx would damage the economies of both the host and the home nations. Our services would be overrun and their industrial base would be decimated as their most able workers became economic migrants

UK will be a muslim nation and they'll be speaking arabic and reading the CowRan while riding camels if they don't get their act together.
Don't worry, Americans won't let that happen.
