Right? I've not made it through the entire book yet. I've tried reading it twice, and cannot finish it. I've seen the original movie, and I do find that it's an endless trail of misery. Excellent choice of words.

One of John Steinbecks' best film. With Henry fonda. and the woman that played mama!! To cross half of the States to get to California, and there is no work!! I watch it almost every week. That's when The Okies and Arkies (no offense intended) split all over California!! In a Way, Just like Mexicans Field workers!!
