I have lived in both. Dallas is more manicured and clean, but extremely pretentious. Houston is completely different. People don't mind stepping out in non-designer shorts, tshirt, and flip-plops. Weather wise I'd choose Dallas--hot summers and occasional ice and snow during the winters. Houston is hot and muggy most of the year with short bursts of cooler weather during the winter. Housing is cheaper in Houston and only 45 mins from the ocean.

I'm from Houston, lived in Dallas, and returned to Houston. Houston wins!

They are two completely different atmospheres. That's like comparing apples to trucks. :) I'm partial to Houston, because I live there. But, Dallas is also a nice city. Each city has its pros, and its cons.

That's easy -- Dallas is so much nicer than Houston that it isn't even a contest.

Dallas has better shopping, restaurants, neighborhoods, hsitory to explore, fun things to do and is cleaner and safer.

By any measurement, it is Dallas over Houston.

None. Explore SanDiego(California) in the west, Zoplin in mid-west and western part of Connecticut.

Hmm, good question. I vote neither. I'd rather live in the bottom of a well. If I had to live in Texas, I'd go to Austin.

Dallas .....more of everything and better weather (like less rain and humidity) more shopping centers --better freeways--good and diverse restaurants/bars--nice areas of homes and apartments---enjoy.....Wally
