It took me about 2 months or so to actually fall in love with my fiance and say I love you. I was going thru a lot at the time I met him (had just left my husband--who is now my ex--had a stressful job, was living with a friend and her family for 3 weeks until my apartment came available, and some other things) so falling in love with someone just wasn't on the top of my list quite yet. I did fall for him fast and hard once I let myself go and pay attention to my feelings. He had been saying he loved me for about a month, but I just couldn't say it quite yet. But once I did, I had no problem saying it after that because I knew that I totally loved him and would for the rest of my life. :)

What is unicque about him is he is the first guy I have ever had in my life (and I am 41) that would NOT mistreat me in any way, shape, or form. I had a childhood of many types of abuse, a few boyfriends that abused me, then my ex husband was abusive. I finally got away from that life for good. My fiance refuses to use or abuse anyone, especially women. He is looving, caring, respectful in every way to everyone, takes excellent care of his 3 teen girls (which says a lot to me), and many other things. I have never met anyone like him and don't want anyone else.

When I knew that I didn't want to be by myself any longer, and knew that I wanted to be with him. We have been together for 6 years now. He is unique because he grew up in a totally different culture than I did and he is one of the few people that I know who doesn't worry too much and is 100% comfortable with the person he is.

I actually read an article that said 7 weeks was the average amount of time people reveal they are in love with their partner. I think it takes about that amount of time to feel it. But, it's gotta last to know it's real. We said it at 8 weeks, but we felt it earlier. He was in love with me first, but I was pretty crazy about him. The 2nd half of your question is lovely but I can't answer that completely for you as the space is limited. Suffice to say, he's the most honest & devoted man I've ever met. And gorgeous!
