Girls-only vacations are so cool.

Remember though -- No boys allowed!

My wife did this with our daughters -- skiing in Vermont, which is quite close to you..

The teenage girls couldn't have been happier. They weren't sick or crazy—just glad for the chance to hone their skills on skis, learning new tricks and jumps without having to compete with all of that testosterone-on-snow, which makes the girls self-conscious.

There is a place called Outward Bound that has a number of cool packages for women only. They have things to do in the NY area as well.

Whether on skis or snowboards, rafting, or rock-climbing with an Outward Bound group; learning to sail in the Caribbean; or surfing in Hawaii; growing numbers of adult women have been flocking to such female-only programs. Many of the women who have participated, including my wife, have discovered what these teen girls discovered immediately: the sheer joy of focusing on a sport without some guy trying to show you that he can do it better or faster.

These kinds of groups can be a wonderful way to form new relationships with those who share the same interests and passions. Now, as more women are inspired to test their mettle physically—especially in sports that previously were male-dominated—it's terrific to see vacation programs being developed to encourage their interest and increase their skill.

Fisher is planning four FishSki clinics this season, including one at Okemo, VT (February 26 to 27). The clinics cost about $460 and include lifts, two days of coaching, and some meals.

Op Girls Learn to Ride is offering more than 150 clinics and workshops across the country—in sports such as snowboarding, motocross, mountain biking, and skateboarding. The snowboarding program has tripled in size from last year, with clinics offered at resorts such as Killington in Vermont, and Jiminy Peak in Massachusetts.

These places are all within driving distance to you and you can get as active or be as uninvolved as you want to be.

Hope you have a great time with whatever you decide to do.

Good luck!!!

Everythings included and it is very affordable!

You cant go wrong with Sun & Fun - Not to mention the guys you can flirt with at the island ports of call!

I am a travel agent and can help with this even if the cruise idea is over the top.

Please let me know. I would be glad to help.
