if u mean stay alive? then yes cos it doesnt use up much oxygen.

Please do not do that. Do not put the poor little butterfly in a box, what for??? We have no butterflies here , wish we did. It is cruel to do that. Be nice.:)

speaking from experience.....NO...
when i was little i built a house out of lego with no windows or doors for my pet butterfly called 'jason' and he died overnight...
it couldve been that he was just old tho.....
