No, they don't. I think they cool down faster, but I'm not sure. But I do know for sure that they do not heat and cool at the same rate.

No. The heat transfer is due to difference in temperature . While heating the applied temperature is really high. Thousnads of degrees. While colling it is ambient temperature. So the rate of heat transfer is not same and thus changein temperature will be different in the 2 process
