freeze when i try to load a disk??? how can i rectify the problem?...all sensible answers will be much appreiciated.

2 drives happens on both!!

If this is happenning with all disks, then you may have a bad device driver for the optical drive. Or possibly the optical drive itself is bad.

Virus scan 3 times then if it does not change then your computer is like that becasue it can't take the disk and you need the latest technology not old ones...

Get a free program called pconpoint (do a google)...put that on your computer and then run it...get a mate to download pconpoint and then put it on via memory stick...this program basically straightens out anything that may have moved around on your pc (software...windows dll's)..and it should work

Doesn't sound like it is DEATH to the computer. Check your memory reserve and then do ALL the Virus AND Spyware scanning that you can get your hands on..

try to derangement it and do a disk clean up and configure it
