Actually you might have a point. Spongebob and Patrick have been accused of been gay before because in some episodes the two have been seen holding hands, Spongebob's eyelashes are "feminine", they adopted a scallop one time and argued over who the mom would be.
In Japan, Romania, Italy and Poland this episode wasn't shown because it was thought to be homosexual and inappropriate to younger viewers.
So have the knowledge that there's a good chance you're right!

a better question is why does anyone care? if we accept homosexuality the world is not going to end. if we expose our children to it early they will learn it is an acceptable behavior instead of being intolerant.
why do right wing religous leaders insist on makeing such a big hullabaloo about silly things like this? who cares? and why are you perpetuating it?
i don't let my child watch spongebob - but because they are disrespectful, not because i think they are gay. i would love to see a cartoon for young children that portrayed gays in a positive light and was acceptable to watch.
get over it! it's normal, whether or not spongebob and patrick are doesn't matter.

They are just silly characters. Kids can relate to their simple-mindeness, and laugh too.

spongebob........yes.......patrick no he is just too stupid to see that spongebob is and that he harbors mad fantasies about him........and sandy deffinitely lesbian........thats why she moved under the ocean.....because she could find no acceptance on land.

i totally agree that they are gay. they are definitely strange, but my kids love the show, so who am i to criticize
