I'm doing research for a story I want to write and would like to know if it's a native crop.

some do. mostly near coastlines. I have seen them sold at markets, but not much.

take a trip there, its an amazing place for sure!!!

They are grown in Ireland. Most are used for Bulmers/magners cider. Some red apples are grown for supermarkets but not many. There are alot of people who grow apples but not commercially (like in their back gardens)

Alot of cooking apples for apple tart are grown too
