I have a period every month but they are always a day late, or a few days early, or a week late. This has posed many problems in trying to figure out when I ovulate each month. Would a fertility monitor work for me? Should I worry about fertility issues because of my erratic periods? I talked to my gynecologist about it and he said that as long as I am having a period every month that I shouldn’t worry…I don’t have painful periods at all…Any advice would be gladly taken as my husband and I have been ttc now for 6 months.

My periods are the same way. I tried for 2 years. The last 6 months of which I did fertility charting and found out that I was not ovulating every month. I was having annuvaltory bleeding I believ its called. Its where you lining gets to heavy and shed itself without ovulation. My cycles lasted from 30 to 42 days. Go to fertiltyfriend.com and join its free, it will show you how to check cervical music, cervical position and other fertiltiy signs. This was the only way I could tell when I was going to ovulate. With irregular cycles you could waste alot of money on predictor kits when you dont know exactly when to test. Hope that helps.

My friend had this same problem and they tested her and found out she was not ovulating. So she had to go on pills to regulate her, maybe you should see another doctor and found out if the same thing is happening to you.
