My husband and I were born 3 days apart. We have the same zodiac sign, Aquarius. I don't really know alot about that stuff...but, we are both fun loving, neither of us like conflict, and we are both very honest with each other. He is my best friend. We share alot together and we depend on each others strength. Having said all that, I think what has helped us most in our marriage is the fact that we know we deserve each other. We have the utmost respect for each others feelings. Neither of us can stand to see the other upset. We never go to bed angry. We have had a few arguments, but, we talk very openly about things. We never yell or call each other nasty names. We don't say things we will regret. We have a very strong love for each other.
I think it makes a very big difference that we didn't get married until we were in our 30's.

Well..you have to have some similar interests..opinions can be different at times so what? that's the way you think and you should respect the other person. but the philosophy of life should be the same. like same values and beliefs. Same ideas about raising children ...

I would guess that like-mindedness has the potential to produce a smoother relationship. If he makes a statement, and more often than not she says "Yes honey I agree" - it just *seems* that it work out better than her always replying "On the contrary, ..."

I think my husband and I are fairly like-minded, at least in the important stuff. Seems to work out well for us.

my wife and I ( married 7 years) think similarly.
but we still argue sometimes.
I really enjoy being married to her, life is wonderful
I think the key is not being the same, but rather, how do you handle your disagreements?
if you are respectful when you disagree, willing to accept that you may be wrong actually,
then you are gonna get along so much better.
with my wife, sometimes I'm right, sometimes I'm wrong.
its easier to admit when I'm wrong because she does too.

Yes, it does. However, opposites attract and can also have a fabulous life together. It just all depends on what you are looking for and willing to accept.

Most likely not. Most couples will have conflicts at one time or another.. it is up to both of them to put effort into lovingly resolving such conflicts with respect for each other. Good luck. :)
