There is nothing wrong with having a Las Vega Wedding so what some of the people have against it is wrong don't knock it unless you have researched it!

Believe it or not there are allot of places that do allot for weddings. My Husband and I were going to do a Las Vegas Wedding and when my mom found out she helped with doing a wedding at home. I wish now that I did do a Las Vegas wedding. It really depends on what you and your loved one want and how much you have to spend on a wedding. First off I would consider how much you have to spend and how many people you plan to invite. That will give you a good starting point. Another thing to consider is if you and your loved one are going to stay in Las Vegas for awhile if so somewhere in the middle of the strip would probably be best, because you would be walking distance from pretty much everything and driving in Las Vegas is INSANE! Personal preference is the Stratisphere it had some of the best prices for what they offered. Most places offer flowers, the cake, a few nights to stay at the hotel depending on what package you decide on, photographs; some even offer dinner at restaurants, gift certificates to go to the spa. It is awesome! Also remember to get a Nevada Marriage License; most places will only marry you with a Nevada Marriage license. Just talk it over with your loved one and you will know what is best for you! But as far as preference I think that there are great places to great married in Las Vegas!
As far as things to do I recommend going to shows they are the best! Also the Hoover Dam is fun. Other than that it really depends on what you like! I also gave you some links that I liked as far as the wedding goes and what to do and not to do in Las Vegas! One more thing if you guys decide to I recommend going to Southern California and going to Medieval times. I know the have the Excalibur in Las Vegas but this blows it away! Check out Disneyland as well. It is fun and it can hold some great memories for you and your loved one. There is nothing like getting a picture of you together in front of Sleeping Beauty's castle, and Disneyland Fireworks are wonderful! One other place is Sea World that is a Wonderful experience! Anyway I hope this helps! And Congratulations!

Congratulations! We've just got back from getting married there ourselves and we had a great time.

We chose to get married on the Bellagio Terrace overlooking the lake - an extremely pretty spot, and they did a fantastic job for us. The fountains play for you at the end of the wedding, and the photographs look just amazing.

However, I did a lot of research before we chose there, and in terms of the hotels, I also found the Venetian, Luxor and Excalibur very helpful, and they also have lovely chapels (and other venues) to get married in. In terms of independent chapels, Little Chapel of the Flowers, Graceland Wedding Chapel and Little Church of the West really stood out from the crowd for me.

It depends how much you want to spend and what's important to you for your wedding, but the website below lets you search every wedding package in Vegas by cost and traditional/themed ceremony, and has details of every chapel and wedding venue in the city. Also, I'd suggest you buy the book 'Neon Nuptials' available via Amazon which has very honest reviews of every chapel.

For our reception, we chose Mon Ami Gabi at the Paris Hotel - it has great views of the Bellagio fountains, a fixed price menu to help with budgeting, and the food and service were wonderful. Highly recommended. Another good venue for not-too-expensive food and large party facilities is Voodoo Lounge at the Rio. Again, the website below lets you search all reception venues in Vegas with fixed price menus by cost and cuisine.

Have a fantastic time!

The Marriage License Office is no longer open 24 hours, so make sure you set aside time to pick up the marriage certificate.

Yes...Run...Run as fast as you can, don't look back and don't worry about casualties!
Nah...Marriage is good for the most part. Do whatever makes the two of you happy and enjoy your lives together. Best wishes to both of you!
