I see that the above three are in the World Player of the Year shortlist. Have they really been Englands best players over the last year?? All three had pretty bad world cups and Rooney has been off the boil for quite some time. Lampard and Gerrard are performing for their clubs but probably not having the same impact they did a couple of years ago. Who would you have as Englands top three?

By the way to all you idiots. Gerrard has a good world cup (him or heargreaves was our best player), and also do you not remember the season he had last season, and do you not remember the fa cup final. Gerrard probly wont get it though as hes english (******* anti english). I can not believe cannavaro is favourite, just because he had a good world cup.

I would nominate for the following:
1) Gerrard
2) Beckham
3) John Terry
Both Beckham and John Terry had a fairly good game for the World Cup. Remember? Beckham even played till he was dehydrated.
