Fear and trepidation. . There are so many variables in life that in many ways we are all walking on a razors edge. I don't know if you mean professionally or personally. I suppose it really doesn't matter. We all try, or hope, to succeed in both. I know business and I know personal success. I also know that any plans you have for either should be written in pencil, not ink. And both can be destroyed at any time and any moment by factors out side of your control.

So, how do I feel? For them, sad. With the full knowledge that it could have been me. Relief there.

Other people's failure is not a block you use to get higher. Only a reminder to be humble. It could (and always will) happen to ourselves.

Lend a hand when someone asks .

I just read dee j's answer. Kind of ties into mine.

A failure is just another opportunity to learn...can't remember who said that. Crap.

But...my feelings towards someone when they fail is based on how they react to it. If they react positively to their failure, then I will support that with being positive and do what I can to provide assistance. If they btch and whine about it...and give no sign or indication that they'll ever stop complaining about it...then screw 'em...they shouldn't have tried in the first place. I can't stand that. I have failed more times than I have ever succeeded...but those failures taught me valuable lessons...and so when I do succeed...the victory is so much sweeter.

i think

that....
successful people fail an awful lot
we just don't notice
because they keep going
on to another attempt
and,
they don't embrace their failures.

they learn from their mistakes
shrug them off
and move forward

when i see a successful person fail at something
i try to learn from his mistakes
so i'll be less apt to make them

and
i realize that what i'm calling him--
"successful"
is what he calls himself

I feel bad for them at first but not to worry because if they're always successful then this one time won't keep them down

Sad because it has to be very diffucult for someone who is successful all the time and then they don't do well.

Umm firstly surprised cause certain people can just act so perfect all the time…it just shocks you when they slip…so yeah but then a little warmer toward them maybe…cause making mistakes just makes you more human and relatable I guess…:)

Relieved, yet saddened. I never like to see anyone fail, but at least it shows me that it happens to others as well.
