Forget the old wives' tale and eat healthly and drink lots of fluids, if you don't feel like you are getting better, go see a doctor. If you have a fever, keep an eye on your temperature and if its very high, again go and see your doctor.

As the virus infection spreads though the body the white cells attact and up goes your temperature. "FEED IT"

Before it takes hold and establishes a full blown cold. Once you have a full blown cold. "STARVE IT"

With all the other symptoms you will develop, you proably won't feel like eating anyway. Coughing and sneezing make it difficult as well as not being able to taste anything.
