they have those diaper type undies for women that I used when I was in high school...They worked great... They look just like under ware and the blood never gets on your clothes... And no one will know that you're wearing them... They come in different colors and designs... They are hard to find... Wal-Mart was selling them, They are usually in the pads/tampon aisle... good luck... Sorry I can't remember what they're called....

Before you wash your underwear, pour hydrogen peroxide on the stains and wash them in cold water. To avoid them try using the heavier "night time" pads. They are longer and generally more absorbent. Personally, I find that the "Always" brand is the best. If you use tampons, definitely use the pads as a back up. If you don't wear tampons, try it with the pads. I don't like them but I have had other friends tell me it worked better.
I had this problem in high school too. They don't let you out of the class to go to the bathroom often enough to prevent it and if your periods are real heavy you are definitely fighting an uphill battle.
Hope the info helps.

My period used to be very heavy. I used the heaviest absorbancy, but use whichever one is right for you. I also wore a pantyliner in case I leaked a little bit. You should chnage your tampon every 4-6 hrs, but if you bleed very heavily, it might have to be more frequent. Just make sure you can go to the bathroom a few times a day to check it.

If you are comfortable wearing a tampon, you might try to use a product called "Instead" that is a soft plastic ring you can insert into your vagina that will collect the menstrual blood. They are very comfortable when worn correctly and can hold over twice what a tampon can. I had this problem as well, and it has been a lifesaver for me because my periods were so heavy. I also wear a panty liner just to be safe.

Wear a tampon and change pads and tampons more frequently. Both of them work. You can also go to the doctor and go on the pill to help with your period.

wear a pad, tampon and change frequently. If its really excessive, call your doctor and get on the pill, it will help regulate your cycle.
