Force people to take responsibility for thier actions- no more taxes on fast food and fat food. If you get fat that's your own fault and you know better anyway. This country's flirting with communism the way the government regulates things. No more no-fault insurance, no-fualt divorce, or no-fault pregnancies. Add funding to take care of the people that need rehabiliating and actually rehabiliate them, don't just put them in a shelter or a jail. Quit spending money on other countries. If we feed another country they hate us and if we don't they hate us, we send troops and they hate us but when we don't they hate us. Invest in the US more as far as government spending. Also, leave the economy alone so it can heal. Any short-term fix will throw off the long-term cycle- go take an economics class people we can't always experience a boom, otherwise it wouldn't be considered a boom. Quit messing with it. Oh, and I'd make the states write more tickets for crappy drivers don't you hate those poeple that cut five lanes with no signal and make your car scared?

The first thing I'd try (President isn't all powerful) to do is eliminate political parties. That would stop all the my party is right, yours is all wrong BS.

Second, I'd try (see above) to change the electoral college from a winner take all to a percentage allocation based on the percentage of votes a candidate gets in a state. That would open things up for a third or fourth party.

Third, I'd like a box on the ballot that says None of the above.
the reason for that is obvious.

Fourth, Revise the tax code until it is less than five pages for personal and not more than 10 pages for corporate. There's no sense for the tax codes in paper form to need 3/4 ton Pickup to carry them.

Fifth, Limit Congress from spending more then the tax income was for the previous year. If that means you can't buy the pig for pork barrel politics --TOUGH.

Sixth, declare open season on anyone who demands everyone be politically correct. No limit, No liscense needed.

Create a true democracy eliminate or reduce the role of Representative government. Amend the constitution null except for the bill of rights & start almost from scratch with Majority rule & control by the legal citizens starting with Money/Power/Wealth which congress reigns over currently!

the first thing i would do is get ride of carer politicians let them serve 1 or 2 terms then make them live regular lives that would stop some of the corruption then i would get rid of the lobbyists and make the politicians listen to there constituents i would put a limit(the same for each office and person regardless of office thay are running for)on the money thay use for campaign that is just a start

Lower taxes for the low income families, raise it for those who can afford to pay, Hire Clinton, Do something about the drug companies unfairness to its customers, find cures for Avian Flu, Change the current marriage law by making it harder to get married, easier to get divorced, allowing gay marriage, and make some sort of adoption amendment to be added to the constitution.
