Those people who "still cling to Marxism" do so out of ignorance of economics, ignorance of human motivation, and an unwillingness to admit that they were wrong for so many decades.
Capitalism, which is not a perfect system (no system ever will be), has produced more wealth, more technology, higher life expectancy, education and opportunity for all people.
Even many of the "poor" drive two cars, own a DVD player, air conditioning, heating, microwave ovens, etc. Marxist countries, in the meantime, have achieved their vision of equality: equal misery and poverty for all.

A little bit of socialism is good. Too much of anything is bad even vitamins. Pure capitalism ends up with misery either for citizens or other nations. Simply speaking if the only rules of economics are supply and demand, the politician would do anything to make the economy survive even boosting either curves by going into war. Example: US invasion of Iraq.
Idealism does not die, simply upgrades dudes!

no way Hosea! no one is seeing that as hope. however there are those who want it.Money does help the world to go around. Capitalism is everything. The ones who rich have authority over the poor to make them poorer. With Capitalism can be used to create the worth of a dollar from 100 to 20cents. Some people are afraid of capitalism and communism because they are to be feared

Russia did not use free market economics or socialistic or democratic principals
they were communists not socialists pleeeeeeaaaassse look up the difference.
capitalism not tempered by socialism and democratic principals is more similar to what you see in North Korea.
Marxism is also another extreme political viewpoint.
