Yeah, don't call gay people homos. call them sodomite perverts.
As far as Demos (you put the apostrophe in the wrong place) bashing Foley, they'll bash whoever they can, just like the Reps bash whom they can. The thing is they shouldn't have someone to bash. For every republican that does something stupid there is at least one democrat that does something stupid. The main problem with democrats now is that they are siding with the very same people that want us dead. No wonder there is continued mayhem in Iraq and Afganistan, the terrorists have just figured out that a good number of our own people are on their side. What we should do is leave alone the issues with Foley and the sodomites, etc, and jail every terrorist supporting democrat and hang them for treason. I guarantee that will stop the bloodshed in Iraq when they figure out that they no longer have supporters in our midst and we're not going to become the next "islamic republic" ever.

homosexuality != pedophilia

thus supporting for homosexuality does not mean that someone supports pedophilia. Also, just because someone is a pedophile does not mean that they are gay, nor does being gay make one a pedophile.

What Foley did was wrong, no matter what party he is a part of. If other congressmen hid what he did, or ignored it, just so they could stay in power, what they did was wrong.

For the congressman in charge of the page program to claim to not know anything simply shows that he is in the wrong line of work, or is lying. For Speaker Hastert to have known about it and done nothing, is wrong.

Just because Foley was gay, or drunk, or abused in the past doesn't excuse him from doing wrong. There are a lot of people who are any of those three, and many (I expect) that have been all three, but they are no more likely to be a pedophile than you or I.

Its not the fact that he is a Republican that has many people up in arms. Its the fact that he did wrong and the other Republicans in Congress seem (its not yet been proven) to have covered this up for their own power.

Foley deserves what he is getting. I am a Republican and I don't think resigning is enough punishment for the man. It has nothing what so ever to with his sexual preferences and all to do with protecting children. However , seeing as this has happened before and with democrats neither party needs to be acting holier than thou. Attacking all republicans or all democrats for the actions of 1 or 2 Is also wrong. This should not be political it is a a legal matter and should be handled by the appropriate agencies.

And why shouldn't they bash Foley? He was a gay man chasing little boys, which to Republicans is the commission of two 'crimes', and then the rest of the Repubs who knew about it DID NOTHING othe than protect their own butts, the Repub party and Foley . . . talk about a cover up. And you guys had your day with Clinton - at least he did it with a consenting woman and not a young boy. So I think you should keep your trap shut and admit that one of your own screwed up ( again ) and that the Repubs are NOT the party of family values, that is, unless you consider gay men doing young boys a family value. It amazes me that no matter how bad you all mess up the world and America, you still think you can take the high road and tell the rest of us how to live our lives - you all are so dirty you smell and should be declared a toxic waste zone. Repulbicans lie, they cheat, they take advantage of anyone and anything to make their own little world better.

The attacks on Foley are coming from both sides of the Isle. I would remind you that it is the GOP leadership that was first in calling for Hastert's resignation. That said, the attack is not on Foley's sexual persuasion but on the fact that he was apparently trying to entice teenagers. I believe the attacks would have come if the behavior involved a hetero male soliciting young females. It's BAD.

I find it intensely amusing that every person who disagreed with the questoner's point of view has at least one thumbs down on their response. Coincidence?

The Democrats have no room to bash anyone...especially when they live in a glass house.
IS ANYONE AWARE that Congressman STUDDS (a democrat) had a sexual relationship with a male 'page' who was 17 at the time (a gay sexual relationship)...and unlike the Republicans who threw the perv out of office...the Democrats re-elected Studds 6 times to the House of Representatives.
Check it out...wonder why the news media never contrasted the difference?? BIAS.

The Dems aren't bashing Foley because he's homosexual. They are bashing him because he's a PEDOPHILE and because he harrassed young boys who were working for him.

Do you understand the difference?

Did you see the content of what he wrote those 15 year old boys? It was disgusting and extremely graphic! he also took these young boys out to dinner, alone, and DATED THEM. There is also concern that he may have had sexual contact with some of them. These were NOT consenting adults and he was in a position of authority, which he took advantage of.

And he was a leader in Congress on stopping Internet sexual predators of children, when that is exactly what he was doing! preying on children via e-mail.

First, don't call gay people homos. Second, the reason they don't like Foley is because the Republicans are trying to equate homosexuality with pedophilia. When the scandal first broke, the Republicans knew it was bad news... but if they could have him say that he was gay, it would be better because "gays are bad".

There is a big difference between a homo and a CHILD MOLESTER. This is a potential FELONY committed on several CHILDREN that was COVERED UP by Republican Leaders.

(Geez, since when is it okay to let politics rob you of your friggin brain???)
