Food sources for the common flax?

WTF is that meant to mean? Flax is a plant, it has the same food source as any other plant. Weird question.

I saw a flax plant at a diner. It was having a reuben sandwich and a cup of coffee. Flax plants are not allowed to sit at the counter in Mississippi.
