Being 's that a this very moment I'm in Fallujah Iraq with the 1st Marines, I think I know more about this place then those that count on the news to tell them what to think. This country is a dangerous place because these people do not understand what they have been given. Their freedom. They are accustomed to being told what to do and when to do it. From what we've seen when their not,they do nothing. They feel the outside world should take total care of them. They hate Americans for the most part. They only want what we can hand out .They take NO responsibility for their own country. If we left a terrorist supportive country would come in right behind us and build an Army to attack us around the world. Americana's need to wake up an realize that sometimes war is the only answer. If not then maybe we should just surrender.

No, but the offer of 1,000,000 Iraqis to help rebuild their own country is a reason for us to step back and let them in on the process.

Perhaps you don't know this but the resistance groups have offered to help the US fight the terrorist groups - if the US will sit down with them and make a plan for the US to eventually leave. And how do we treat these prospective allies? We arrest them.

Democracy would be best served by us letting the Iraqis run their own government. The news doesn't publicize it, but they ARE ready to step up and it's time that we take a back seat, not build more military bases.

The number is way off- just a propaganda byte. Neither the Iraqi government, the UN, the US military or any monitoring agency thinks that's an accurate count.

As for democracy, that's a whole 'nother adventure. They aren't close to it yet, there's no guarantee they'll get there anywhere in our lifetimes. But they are trying.

If there was Democracy coming to Iraq you might have an arguement. But, there is no democracy coming to iraq; not now and not in the foreseeable future. These are 600,000+ dead people to go along with the 2700+ dead Americans who all get the same thing - lies, deceit, and failure.

Thanks John K , for an insight from within,
interesting !...

Let's have a look at the figures ;
AT THE MOMENT average casualties are
50 a day. First 2 years 30 a day ....
730x30 = 21900
365x50 = 18250
______
Total 40150 (Iraqis only) for 3 years...

How the hell , u gonna get to 600.000 ?
Looks like we need an ACCOUNTANTS

How do u "bequest" Democracy to persons
who dunno "what" it is, AND probably dont
WANT IT ?. H E L P .....

Most of the 600 000 are Iraqis killing Iraqis.

Was the blood of Millions worth fighting the US Civil War?

Was the blood of millions worth stopping Hitler's aggression?

Life is not easy, it is a struggle.

be glad the death is there and not here.

The numbers are wrong, but that is the price of democracy. Some people are heroic enough to make the ultimate sacrifice.

That figure STILL has NOT been confirmed. How many were dead from old age, illness, car accidents, crimes, etc? The US looses almost than many a year in Detroit alone.

No. Its too late now. We told the pregnant 13 year old to have the baby and now we have to stick around to make sure she becomes a good mother.

Colin Powell to Bush: You break Iraq you own it.

It sure is broken right now and could be another 5 to 10 years before its mended well enough for us to leave.
