i'm like a week late on my period. i should have gotten it by this past monday, the latest!. But last week i got all the signs that i usually get when i'm about to get my period.....i start breaking out , feel a lil bloated and minor cramps. I got all of thosew last week but still no period. i have had unprotected sex, but he always made sure to pull out. And i was also wondering if maybe the birth control could have something to do with it. i started back up on the pill on sunday when i still thought that i was gonna get my period the following day. Could the pill have postponed it some how? Its not my first time on the pill. i'm on and off the pill constantly but usually never irregular on my menstrual cycle. can anyone help me? Do you think i could be pregnant?

There are a few possibilities.

First of all, what pill do u take, I'm a University Student Studying Medical Scientist, and i need more detail what pill u are having after the intercourse. If the pill is to stop pregnant or we call it an emergency pill, there should be a low chance of getting pregnant. But if it is a contriception pill that should be take before having intercourse and now u take it after the intercourse, i'm afraid there is no effect and this increase the risk of getting pregnant. Unprotected sex and pull out before ejectculation is a very bad way of contriception. It is no recommanded in any way. Please go to the pharmacy and look for birth test stick to test it 2 weeks after the intercourse. Because nowadays, Birth test Stick only work well after 2 weeks of intercourse.

Dont Worry and Relax. (This might help if u do not have pregnant and the period will come. Stress will affect your hormone and therefore affect your period)

Cheers,

Allan

Obviously if you have had unprotected sex you could be pregnant. If you are on the pill but constantly break the cycle - like skipping it or constantly going on and off, you could lower its effectiveness. If you are a week late, you could definitely take a pregnancy test at this point. A lot of times pregnancy symptoms do feel like period symptoms. However, most women get extremely tender breasts and the famous morning sickness. My advice: take a test -- if negative, keep taking the pill. Stay on a regular pill regimen as pulling out has a high failure rate. If you still do not have your period in about 2 weeks, get a blood preg test. Also, when you break your pill cycle, it can cause the breakthrough bleeding. However, when you are pregnant, a lot of women still have some bleeding - such as implantation bleeding or just still have one or more periods. Hope that helps!

Best thing to do first is go get a home pregnancy test. Most are accurate even after only a week. If you are pregnant for God sake stop taking the pill and get to a doctor. The fact that you went back to the pill without finding out if you are pregnant first could harm your baby if you are pregnant and going back on the pill could certainly have delayed your period.

Do I think you are pregnant? Since you say you are not irregular there is a good chance but go ahead and take the test so you can know for sure.

You're proberably not pregnant but going on and off the pill is proberably what is messing with your periods. The pill controls your homones and how they are regulated so by going on and off of them your body is confused and don't know how to respond. My best suggestion is to stay on the pill if you just started it again and don't worry if you don't get your period. When i started it said that i may miss a period for the first month i was on it. So don't worry about it until next month. And if by then you still didn't get your period then go see a doctor. Good luck and may God bless you with a calm piece of mind for the following month.

1. Going on and off of the pill regularly could cause major health issues later.
2. It will postpone your period if you started it when you should have had your period and didn't start on your placebo pills.
3. If you have unprotected sex, even if you pull out, precum can still impregnate you.
4. BE MORE RESPONSIBLE BECAUSE YOU ARE OBVIOUSLY NOT RESPONSIBLE OR SMART ENOUGH TO MOTHER A CHILD!

Go to the drugstore, for God Sakes, and buy a pregnacny kit! If you had sex, the possibility is there, and find out Quickly before you keep taking the pill

Stop taking birth control until you find out! Go to the pharmacy and get a test, the cheap one's work just as well as the expensive one's. You CAN get pregnant even if he pulls out before ejaculation. pre-ejaculate has sperm in it!
