We are all naturally different. We respond, act, come to a conclusion in generally unpredictable ways.
Why? We were born from different parents, have different socio-economic backgrounds, schooling, disciplines, abilities, dna programming, and points of reference.
The question should be "Why do some people act in the same way when they are so different?"
In areas where man is free, economically happy and mentally developed and content, the differences show.
On the opposite side, men who live under conditions where they have limited education, limited resources for shelter, food and media exposure, well, they can become zealots and react similarly.

Because we are a product of many things. How we were raised, what we've learned as we travel through life, What we've been exposed to. All of those things help form how we act, how we treat people, how we see the world, how we express ourselves. Each of us are on a journey and our journey won't be exactly the same as anothers. Hence, we are different.
