The biggest problem most evangelicals have with radical environmentalists that many in the movement have created earth worship as a religion. There was a subtle change from preserving/conserving the earth to deifying it. When every stone, tree, and animal is "sacred" to the religion of the earth, it makes daily life difficult. They are also wary of any group that worships what is seen as creation (the earth) instead of the creator (God).

It might be criticized because it is wrong, and it might be criticized by many more than your "evangelists" whoever they might be.

As an example, global warming. There has been warming and cooling since the earth started turning, and warming has occured many times before man walked upright or invented internal combustion engines, therefore what has been stated as a soon to come catastrophic event is a lie.

The hysteria created by those lies is about control, control of the population, keep the Third World cold and dark and ignorant, and to keep the world dependent on a One World Government, which of course is based on a failed socialist view of the perfect world.

When the light of truth shines on these "environmental" issues the world steps back and realizes they have been duped, by a sham, by a lie.

Had the movement just stuck with the truth it would have become a viable movement but the lies and distortions have discredited the entire thing. Too bad isn't it.

So yes I would say it is wrong to hang your hat with charlatans and liars, all seeking CONTROL and POWER, it is just wrong.

Yes anyone that becomes radical is worry some because poor judgement comes with it. We can not stop the world because someone does not like what some things are doing to us, or what we may be doing to the environment. We simply have to weigh the consequences in a peaceful and knowledgeable manner that will allow for change that for the most part takes a lot of time. To destroy the livelihood of so many people can be more damaging than the condition they are working in in some cases.

Is it critcized by evangelists? I hadn't heard that. I think it's criticized by people that 1. Believe global warming is a natural cycle (which included climatological scientiest). 2. Think that some problems are more important. For instance the enviro have stopped businesses from moving to third world countries where people are starving and have no jobs because of possible polution. Radical is usually not a good idea.

Being a radical in any matter is not very good. It leads to rather tainted vision and the person at times fails to see reasons and reasonabilities of counter arguments.

In any case we are all humans and liable to err.

Being an environmentalist is great and need of the day. But, anything done to excess is bad.

Probably because so many are being arrested for the damage they cause. I don't think the evangilists are the only ones doing the criticizing either... I have never heard any of them say anything about it.. but I have heard many others voice their objections, including the law enforcment. Not to mention those affected by your conduct. .

I don't know about evangelists, but most people don't like radical evironmentalists because these groups have a politcal agenda that they will -lie, cheat, steal, burn, destroy, kill - in order to foist it upon those of us who, according to them, just aren't smart enough to know any better. These groups want to control way too much of other peoples lives and we (the typical American, regardless of political affiliation) don't like that.

Yes. It's the fault of radical evironmentalists that we aren't drilling the Alaskan wilderness, reducing our dependency on foreign oil.

Also legislation on offshore drilling.......same problem.
