Why does it have to be an either/or situation? Do you imagine perhaps that we should allow everything other than Iraq to fall by the wayside? Should we ignore everything else going on in the world or in government? Are we not capable as a nation of dealing with more than a single issue at a time? Do you think so little of us?

By the way, Foley didn't commit 'antics', he's a pedophile.

Foley because he can do more damage to the people who want to keep our troops fighting in Iraq which would be a solution to the Iraq problem.

Don't confuse people by talking about real issues. We have to keep them distracted by running down rabbit trails about dirty email when we have two stalled military engagements that are of paramount importance.

Politics isn't about solving all your whiny problems, its about getting elected so they can repay their benefactors with some designer legislation.

Don't worry though, we won't hear about Foley after November 7. But the chances are we won't hear about a solution to the Iraq debacle either.

The Mark Foley thing is really not a big deal. But being a gay man myself, it really pisses me off when closet gays like him are anti-gay in their professional life.
