Of course he does! He often talks about his own religious views. And not only that, but why else do you think that he supports an amendment banning gay marriage?

Of course. I even saw an article on Netscape.com that Bush doesn't even care about the Christian right. He just uses their votes.

Bush reminds me of Tom Skerrit's character in the movie Contact. Once he realized that so many would blindly follow him, he started saying God every other word. Funny how his beliefs and his actions don't seem to mesh.

No doubt about it. The regular republican minority (38% of registered voters) needs them to stay in power. It's a shaky alliance and will ultimately fail. There is ample evidence it is already happening.
