yep!!! I read about it, and it is said that more and more fathers are taking paternity leave and/or have the option to do so..but beware, you guys will only get paid a certain portion of your paychecks. To make it easier finanically-try and wait to go on paternity leave until when your wife absolutely needs you...whether it be the very next day after she has the baby or a week before or after.......hopefully your work is flexable about this type of stuff!

PS what state are you in? Cause some states give disability to women who are having babies and it would be discrimination if they were not to let you get the time off when you needed to take care of your wife/baby.

I don't think you can do it at the same time, but you could do it back to back. Besides that is better because then then maybe will have at least one parent at home for a longer period. BTW to the person on top of me, it is called a province in Canada. Also our maternity leaves are for a year. Not 3 mths here. You guys are getting gypped.

I am only familiar with maternity & paternity leave for 3months in my area. Guess it depends on the company. You should check with the HR Dept.
