Why are France and other countries so self-righteous when it comes to criticizing the US?

Question

Obviously the US has made and will make mistakes, but I think it is apparent from our foreign aid, willingness to sacrifice resources and American lives to help others who are being oppressed(WWII, Sadaam in Kuwaitt, Somalia)
that we are trying to help.

Meanwhile, France and others sit back and criticize and talk about how great they are but prove the opposite. For instance the Oil for Food scandals involving French and Russian diplomats and the recent scandal with the French Olympic official.

To think that they were involved with Sadaam behind the back of the UN. Maybe if the sanctions would have been allowed to take their effect there would not have been an Iraq war. Maybe the sanctions would have worked and Sadaam would have surrendered or been overthrown.
No one knows for sure, but we do know that the French were stabbing us and the UN in the back, and then go on to criticize the US when we take out Sadaam.

France was also in the oil for food scandel and thats why they didnt want us going into iraq and germany and russia the same.They were afraid of getting busted and they did..,well you know the french are good at 3 things,cooking,women with hairy armpits and surrendering.

And who asked the US to "take out Sadaam"? Was he a part of
al QUAIDA? Why, no he wasn't. Al Quaida was a religious organization and Sadaam Hussien was secular; al Quaida and Sadaam Hussien had nothing to do with each other. Bush used the attacks of 9/11 to go after Sadaam because that was the one major failure his father had when he was president.

The USA was also caught in the 1990's smuggling oil out of Iraq, as were many other countries. Perhaps you should be better informed before you start becoming "so self-righteous when it comes to criticizing" other countries. The USA does NOT go in to help "others that are being oppressed" UNLESS helping them will inevitably BENEFIT the USA in some way.

Also, the USA only helps out countries that have OIL, have you noticed? What about Rwanda? 300, 000 people died there because the Americans threatened to veto any UN resolution to help. Why? because Rwanda didn't have anything (OIL) that would benefit the US.

Perhaps other countries are quick to judge Americans because they assume they know what is best, regardless of what anyone else says or thinks. Their actions do not reflect their words. I'm not saying that France or any other country does not make mistakes or do things wrong, I am simply trying to point out that you sound EXTREMELY self righteous about your country when perhaps you shouldn't either.

P.S. Did you know that in your recent war (in Iraq) the USA DID NOT have the support of the UN, but they "went behind their back" and started the war anyway?

We DO know for sure. France was getting MAJOR financial kick-backs from Sodamn Insane. But, that aside, you know that if you help somebody when they are down (France in WW I & WW II) they only resent you because you have made them feel inadequate. France once saw itself as a great world power. To have to have had their chestnuts pulled out of the fire (twice) by the US hurt their poor, itty bitty feelings. They are still sulking, like so many Arabs are still sulking about the Crusades. They ALL need to get a life.
