Your first and largest problem is that you believe that you "deserve" for people to behave a particular way because you do. Unless you become a psychologist/counselor for a living, you don't have the power to change other peoples' behaviour.

If you're so good at realizing that you're attracting "controling, abusive, and possesive guys" [sic], why don't you practice spotting them BEFORE you get into relationships with them? Maybe start disregarding the whole peer pressure thing and make a move on one of the shy guys in your math class. Nerds make the best boyfriends, I promise you. =)

You may not think you "deserve" it, but it seems that you are putting out bait for such guys. You need to find out what you do that says "I am a dormat, walk on me." Perhaps their macho behavior turns you on at first, makes you feel secure and protected. But then it goes too far.

Youl will need to secure and protect yourself so that you don't need to seek it from the males you attract. You attract them to do the work that you are unwilling to do for yourself.

Being nice you attract guys who sense it and want to take advantage of it. You should get some counseling to change this about yourself or you will spend a lifetime with bad guys.

Are you submissive too... no one can even fathom controlling you otherwise.
