Is it true that years after taking LSD you can have a re-trip and kill yourself because you don't know it's fake?

If anyone deserves a flash back it's me. During the 60's and 70's I sure did my share. Talking to many people since then that went the same route not one said they ever had one. It seems I hear a lot of "a friend told me a friend of theirs had one", so if there is such a thing as a flash back I feel cheated.

LSD trip usually peak at 7 - 10 hours depending on dose, and the also depending the trip ,will take from several days or even several years and if really a good one can last a lifetime .Not a toy. Not enough space to tell you about trips as I've had several hundred .What you want out of it and what you do with the information that you REALIZE.I recommend that you read ,The Joyous Cosmology,by Alan Watts, and some of the works of Timothy Leary,Dr.Albert Hoffman and get a idea of what a trip can be if you are properly Set.I have peaked in less than 30 seconds but thats thats another story, not for children.Peace Love and Good Vibrations

Their have been reported "flashbacks" however they’re considered a phenomonon... And has nothing to do with lsd still being anywhere in your body. Very few get flash backs but it does happen, sometimes occurring weeks months or even years after use.

In all of my experience dealing with hundreds of LSD users I’ve only met 1 who had experienced flashbacks sometime in their life. He told me that it’s mild and not at all like the initial LSD trip it’s just like a memory but more real.

However I’m sure there are different degrees of intensity of flashback between users.

PS it has nothing to do with LSD being stored in your spinal fluid.
its just like how Vet's from vietnam might get flashbacks... all mental.

I think some people are, at times, unbalanced and for whatever reasons choose suicide whether having ever participated in drug use or not. I agree with what somebody else has already stated, that it's just another scare tactic employed by the government. Ever see the movie "Reefer Madness"? I've tripped on acid extensively and feel no Ill-effects nor irreparable damage as a result of having done so. However, once I got really depressed when my girlfriend dumped me.

Hah! Sure thing, and smoking one joint will make you addicted to herion too.

LSD is metabolized in just a few hours then it is gone. Years later there is nothing left to effect you.

Just a lame excuse that some pathetic people use to try to justify crazy behavior.

That's actually an over exaggeration. A "Flash back" is more like a smell, a touch, a taste, any kind of sensation that brings you back to when you were tripping. You don't see pink elephants or aliens randomly. It works pretty much like any other memory.

Not sure. But I know a guy who was tripping and he thought he was a glass of orange juice. He was huddeled in a corner and when nurses approached he went beserk because he was afraid they'd knock him over and spill him. Crazy ****... But I have never experimented with psychedelics.

lsd is an odd chemical, once taken it is stored in your spinal fluid for the rest of your life. the only thing that can really cause a flashback is high g-forces, so getting into the airforce is out of the question. but i doubt it just randomly happens. just stay out of airplanes spinning in mid-air and you should be fine.

This is a scare tactic used by the government to curb drug use. Like most or all of the anti marijuana propaganda. If you're young I recomend waiting til your brain & body have passed this critical stage of developement. If you still want to do stuff after you're an adult --then do so safely.
