I've Norton Anti-virus software. I'm really annoyed by Norton Pop-UPs warning me that my Norton Anti-virus software is not uto date and it needs to be updated. I always update it when asked which is atleast everyday and many times as many as three times on some day. Every time you update you've to restart your computer. Hence my question what good is a software that needs to be updated everday or more often.

The updates are probably for the anti virus definitions that are used to check against viruses on your computer. so the more recent updates you get for your definitions the more more secure your gonna be against the latest virus out there.

norton in my experience is quite crap to be frank. Kaspersky internet security suite is far better it protects you against all types of attacks and it automatically updates its definition every 3 hours and doesnt have annoying popups that will tell u to update or that its out of date. also its light and doesnt take up so much memory like norton.

if you want the full version please contact me i will be glad to assist.

hope it helps. take care.x

Because it's doing it's job and what you're paying for. The choice is either updating or getting a virus on your computer.......think about it, which one would you prefer?

Why don't you configure Norton to update automatically.

It relies upon on which application has extra as much as date "virus definition" documents. Any answer is a wager. i could wager the av-xp is stable till the McAfee application is as much as this point too. based on the severity of the an infection, it must be suited to bypass away it on my own. Anti virus application has replace into worse than the virus themselves.
