Yeah, once, years ago. A neighbor took pills and cut his wrists. I found him on his front lawn around midnight. Pressure-wrapped his wrists and anchored them above his head. Brief CPR got his heart and lungs restarted. Never saw him again. The only reason I know he lived is because his son thanked me a few months later. I haven't thought about that in a long time.

Yes I have. My own child. Baby actually. Had a battery in the back of his throat. I turned him upside down, used two fingers to rake it out.tore his throat up a bit, but he is still here.
Saved a young man from drowning in like 1989 too.

Yes. A coworker was having a heart attack. I recognized the symptons and rushed him to the hospital. Ten minutes later he went code blue and they were able to restart his heart. If I had not gotten him there he would have died.

Well, I helped -- a man collapsed outside a restaurant and I got help for him and cared for him until emergency ambulance arrived. His wife was SO grateful, especially when I took her to the hospital and sat with her until he came to and was out of danger.

"Save one life, & you are a hero; save one hundred lives, & you are a nurse".
(From the Wisconsin Nurses Association, a few years ago during 'nurses week'.)

Funny---I just figure, it's all in a days' work.
