Christianity is unique in that it has no provision for its adherents to engage in warfare. Those ostensible "Christians" who do so ignore the Scriptures and the teachings and example of Jesus Christ himself.

(Matthew 26:52) Jesus said to him: “Return your sword to its place, for all those who take the sword will perish by the sword

(Isaiah 2:4) They will have to beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning shears. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, neither will they learn war anymore.

(2 Corinthians 10:3-4) We do not wage warfare according to what we are in the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly

(Luke 6:27-29) I [Jesus] say to you who are listening, Continue to love your enemies, to do good to those hating you, to bless those cursing you, to pray for those who are insulting you. To him that strikes you on the one cheek, offer the other also

Jehovah's Witnesses are politically and nationalistically neutral.

Look, Jehovah Witness were some of the first people into the concentration camps during WWII because they refused to serve in the military. They wore the Purple Star of David, as requested by government mandate. Ask a Jehovah Witness about a movie I bet you they have in their church libraries called "Purple Star".

Jehovah's Witnesses are not permitted to vote or participate in government in any way. It is against their religion and they would be disfellowshipped (considered not a member of the church) for it. So, they would favor no party.

I am not entirely sure about the war part. But I would assume they would be against war in prinicipal as most religious groups are.

It should be noted that JWs did involve themselves in politics at one time, but learned the better of it. I believe the last time was with Hitler, when they sent reps to him to encourage him not to drive the world into another war. You can say that they were punished by God for that action, as not only were witnesses put into concentration camps in Germany, but they were also jailed in the U.S.

Jehovah's Witnesses had to learn the hard way what should and should not be doing. In their beginnings, they celebrated Christmas and even flew the American flag in front of their headquarters. You can see pictures of these on their web site. They didn't just stop doing all these things, right from the beginning. It took time and learning, including learning from their mistakes.

As the organization grew, and more eyes and brains were added to the reading of the Bible, more things were being taken note of. It was never one man or a group of elite, saying everyone else should follow what they say. If I remember correctly, there was something just recently discovered, that was always there in plain sight, in the scriptures, but was overlooked. I will have to ask my mother about it. I may be wrong, but I think it was that the Star that led the Astrologers after the birth of Christ, first led them to Herod, who wanted to kill the Christ child. So, if it was sent by God, why didn't it just lead them directly to Bethlehem? Like I said, they are always learning, with everyone contributing.

I knew some Jehovah's Witnesses, they said their Church does not support war and it does not believe in politics, either, so they don't vote. Maybe that was just those particular people, tho.

The JWs do not believe in war, or supporting politics. They do not celebrate birthdays because they believe those passions should be reserved for Jehovah.

It depends. I absolutely believe in war. I absolutely believe in having strong opinions about which political official is doing a better job as opposed to a predeccessor. I absolutely believe that those are are still members of the faith/religion I grew up in have the right to have a different opinion from mine. Now, you tell me, how do you suppose I define "war?" Even if I'm a JW in a different universe, doesn't necessarily mean I am in this one. I do consider myself a JW "at heart", however.

The video is the "Purple Triangle"

Since Christians are Ambassadors of Christ and are found in all nations. It would be wrong to fight for a government that wasn't Christ's.

It would be wrong to kill fellow Christians because they happen to live in a different country.

Since God's Kingdom is a literal government

Isa 9:6For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us;
And the government will rest on His shoulders;
And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
7There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace,
On the throne of David and over his kingdom,
To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness
From then on and forevermore
The zeal of the LORD of hosts will accomplish this.

No government on earth today can claim to be "Christian" or "God's"

Rev shows that all human governments are getting their power and support from Satan.

The sea is human, and the wild beast represents the governments of the earth.

Rev 13:1 And it stood still upon the sand of the sea.

And I saw a wild beast ascending out of the sea, with ten horns and seven heads, and upon its horns ten diadems, but upon its heads blasphemous names. 2 Now the wild beast that I saw was like a leopard, but its feet were as those of a bear, and its mouth was as a lion’s mouth. And the dragon gave to [the beast] its power and its throne and great authority.

Hitler started sending Jehovah's Witnesses to concentration camps in 1938, He started sending the Jews in 1939.

JWs are politically neutral. They follow Jesus' advice to be no part of the world. THe only war we believe in is the war of God Almighty in which Jesus will lead.
